Neurology
NEUROLOGY
Physicians who specialize in Neurology are called Neurologists. Neurologists take care of patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. A few of the disorders treated by Neurologists include Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, seizures, migraines, stroke, muscular dystrophy and myasthenia gravis. Typically, in order to become a Neurologist, a doctor must complete one year of training in internal medicine and then three years of training in Neurology.
